ABOUT SARAH F. JAYNE

My goal is to help you increase the ecological potential of whatever space you have and to empower the stewards who care for it!

I am committed to developing approaches and tools to streamline the implementation and care of landscapes as they are transitioned into functioning constructed ecosystems that support biodiversity. A lifelong, consuming interest in plants, a degree in agriculture, and decades of experience in both farming and landscaping intersect with my strong conviction that using eco-beneficial plants in a sustainable landscaping model gives individuals a chance to be part of solving the dual crises of climate change and biodiversity loss. Over 40 years of teaching students from ages 6 to 101 informs my real-life, hands-on, interactive approach to sharing the how-tos of wildlife habitat building. Like icing on a cake, a sense of well-being comes from a generously planted landscape full of birdsong and beauty.
